Huh. Perhaps this works?

If you look at this (very differently looking) Masnick.com page, you might notice that the last blog post I had posted here was from… 2012? 2012! Dang. That’s a long time ago.

It’s so long ago that the WordPress install I had on the old site was so incredibly out of date that nothing worked on it any more. And, for about the last year or two I’d sorta been contemplating wiping out the whole thing and starting again. But then I’d lose links to some of my favorite old blog posts, like the story of my old boss, the bagel shop murderer.

And then a magic thing came along, called Claude Code. And in playing around with it, I wondered if it could rescue all my old, old, old blog posts, and then help me create a new site. And… voila. Here you are. And the old posts made the journey as well. We’re no longer using WordPress. This is all being done via files in Github, pushed to the site directly.

I was about to say that I’m planning to have a lot more here, including talking about some of my adventures with Claude Code or other LLM tools, but, I should be a bit more modest and recognize that I took over 14 years off between blog posts, and not get too excited about whether or not I’ll be posting that often. WE SHALL SEE.
